Thank you for the congratulations:)
...Hi Catherine! Thank you for the congratulations:)

So I will try to answer your questions as best as I can...but first let me say that I'm not a doctor, so these are just my opinions:)

I don't think you should worry at all about the embryo sticking due to blood sugar control. If you go on diabetes websites or forums, there are so many Type 1 diabetics who get pregnant with their sugars being out of control and their A1C's being high. I'm not saying you want to stay here in pregnancy, but it should have nothing to do with the embryo attaching or not.

Some diabetics blood sugars are really affected by stress. If this is the case for you, try to relax as much as possible (I know it is so much easier said than done.....) But maybe it can help!:)

There are times, especially now in pregnancy that I experience high's without eating....and it's all a result of hormones and insulin resistance. I know for me it's because my placenta is getting bigger and making me more resistant. In your case, as when I did IVF, sometimes it's because of the hormone shots that I was taking. I don't know what they gave you, but it may affect your sugars. Since I wasn't a large follicle producer, I was able to work out a bit more throughout my IVF, which helped my sugar control. But that is something I know you don't want to do right after a FET. Are you watching your carb intake? I've really had to to that in the am now and it's helped my sugars so much. I try to have an egg in the morning and or a light yogurt. Do you think your foods are affecting anything??

Also, if I find that my sugars are high and won't come down, since I'm on a pump, I change my inset. Are you on a pump? Sometimes it just stops working. If it hurts when I put in a new one I know it's not going to work so I remove it and put in another one.

I didn't have to raise my basals during IVF, but mostly just my boluses. It was usually 2-5 extra units here and there when needed, but I know it will be different for everyone.

Overall, just do the best you can with your sugars. Try to relax (so hard, I really do know)....and just remember it shouldn't have anything to do with your embryo sticking, but that's from what I've read and other people's stories. I wish you the best!!! Please let me know how it goes!!:) I hope this was helpful for you! Let me know if you have any more questions:) Good luck!!!t1dsugarmommahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11878158614012920016noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7656196522534028927.post-84918051309968437702012-10-24T13:48:01.959-07:002012-10-24T13:48:01.959-07:00Congratulations! I just read most of your blog and...Congratulations! I just read most of your blog and have a few questions for you.

Today I had my 3rd FET and my sugars are out of control. I am so worried the embryo won't stick since I'm experiencing so many " highs" I got diabeties during my first pregnancy and it never went away. I have a 2 year old little girl and would love to give her a sibling. Did you experience highs without eating? By how much did you have to increase your insulin by? I am so worried I will mess it all up since I am having a hard time controlling my sugars. I'm still waiting for my endocrinologist to call me back. Any advice will help. Please!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09007382266138956233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7656196522534028927.post-14543603066584919962012-10-24T13:37:26.350-07:002012-10-24T13:37:26.350-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09007382266138956233noreply@blogger.com
